Luke Wohlgemuth is an graphic designer & illustrator living and working in New York City. He makes thoughtful designs, illustrations, and animations for clients spanning many industries.
Luke has created illustrations with The New York Times, The New Yorker, Financial Times Magazine, The Observer, NBC News, Penguin Random House, & the Strand Bookstore to name a few.
Currently, Luke is a Senior Designer with the New York ad agency M Booth creating designs, illustrations, and animations for a myriad of Google brands.
Luke graduated with his MFA from the School of Visual Arts. He was accepted into the prestigious Illustration as Visual Essay program taught & founded by the legendary Marshall Arisman. Originally hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska 🌽, he received his BFA in Graphic Design from Concordia University, Nebraska. Before moving to New York for graduate studies (and sticking around ever since), Luke worked as a designer in Lincoln, NE for the sparky startup agency, Redthread.
His work has been recognized and awarded by the American Illustration Annual, 3x3 Illustration Annual, and the Society of Illustrators, winning a silver medal in the 64th annual international illustration competition.
Luke lives and works in Brooklyn with his opera star wife, Mer Wohlgemuth (give her a listen, your ears will thank you), and their little pup, Zelda. ✨
